Dear Pastor Wayne, Greetings to you and your wife, Linda, in Jesus’ most precious name. I’m not sure you will remember me, but I sure do remember you and your dear wife, Linda. I met you with my sister, her husband, and my brother in May at the Prophetic Witness Movement conference in Bournemouth, England.

We did not want to return home, for we loved our chats with you and your dear wife, Linda. We were indeed blessed with the messages you gave, and you continue to provide. I am so thankful and grateful to the Lord for your faithful ministry in proclaiming the true Word of God.

You see, pastor Wayne, we don’t have pastors like you where we live, and the churches suffer from bulimia due to the lack of true biblical teaching. It’s extremely difficult to find a church that teaches the whole council of the Word of God, let alone be sound in Doctrine.

There are good churches, but they are so far away to travel to. I have, from time to time, made the few hours journey to attend a church and will be doing so again this Sunday. Even if it takes me a full day of traveling there and back, it will be worth it.

Sadly, I and others have had to resolve to go online and watch Sunday sermon services from pastors like yourself, David Jeremiah, Charles Stanley, and Chuck Swindoll. I listen to Jan Markell from Olive Tree Ministries.

With a heart full of sadness and sheer desperation, I had to make the tough decision to leave a church I loved so much and had attended as a young Christian since 1975. The erosion in the church started and crept in slowly in the past eight years but more so in the last five years to the point where the Baptist church I and others knew no longer resembled a church.

The building was sold because they wanted a bigger one to accommodate the growing attendance. They spent millions of pounds on the construction of the present church. It’s big, but it’s become a social club and a business. It appeals to young people and families as it caters to their every need, but not so for the elderly—those who were once the pillars of the church.

The worship has changed. Out with the organ and hymns, now we have a band. Out with the pulpit, now we have a stage. Out with the sermons. Instead, there are little talks that mention Jesus and read bible stories about Jesus, but which Jesus?

Pastor Wayne, the current teaching you are doing on “THE ESSENTIAL DOCTRINES OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH” is so much needed as this teaching is missing in so many churches. Thank you for your stand to tell and teach the truth of God’s Word as it should. Heritage Baptist Church is indeed blessed and very privileged to have you as its pastor. Please tell them to listen and learn and stand for the truth.

In the UK, the Baptist Unions are going the same way as the Southern Baptist Convention in the USA. They are changing the church’s goals to facilitate the demands of the LGBT+.  How can this be? It’s beyond me to understand how men and women who once held the truth of God’s word are turning from it and changing it to accept what goes against everything the Bible teaches.

Unfortunately, the church I just left introduced the very things you preached and warned us about in your sermon this past Sunday. Things have worsened despite numerous letters and conversations with the pastor and elders. I know the church wants to be inclusive, but their focus seems to be on the issues of social justice, critical race theory, transgender, sexuality, and climate change, rather than the gospel. My prayer is that there will be those who will challenge anything that is not in line with what the Bible teaches, but I am not convinced that they will.

When I was sent out by my home Baptist church to serve the Lord as a missionary in 1978, the church was well grounded in the Word of God and sound in Doctrine. On my return in 2001, I found a church I no longer recognized. I still care and love those in the church with whom I still meet. However, seeing this church change through the years has been challenging and, at times, unbearable.

By the way, a new church started in the North of England in Bradford called the “WRESTLING CHURCH!” It’s pure madness, pastor Wayne. It’s excruciatingly painful to see what they are doing. I checked their website and just cried out to the Lord to have mercy. My heart aches with such sorrow to see what is being done to the church of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

On the solid Rock I stand; all other ground is sinking sand. There is a lack of sound biblical teaching. It’s as if the church has just gone adrift with no captain to lead because they rather drown than reach for the lifeboat to rescue them and be saved by the captain of our soul, our blessed Saviour Jesus Christ.

Please, Pastor Wayne, keep teaching and preaching God’s Word. Thank you for all you do. I certainly appreciate your teaching. I know there are faithful pastors in England and good churches too, but finding them is difficult. Sound the alarm and continue to equip the remnant in being ready to answer the hope we have.

I am looking forward to watching your teaching this coming Sunday. I would very much value it if you could send me or add me to receiving your study notes so I can follow up on Sundays. My Brother also watches at 3 pm British time. Thank God that greater is He who is in us that He is in the world.

Sending heartfelt greetings to you and your wife, Linda. She was such an encouragement to us at the conference, and it was sad to say goodbye. Please give her my love.

Maranatha,

Ana

Thank you, Wayne! (He was giving thanks for the study guides)

We are meeting with a fellowship group on Saturdays, (4 of us) and we “attend” a church on Sundays to obey the command to “not ignore the gathering of the saints” – but it is you, and our other two friends, who provide the real input for us. There is simply not a “church” around here preaching the full truth.

Many thanks for what you do!

Blessings,
